Daddy where is your Buck?

Here's Landon with Chris' 17 pointer.

Wishing we were at the Beach

Conner and Landon spread their towels out on the driveway after getting out of the pool. They said they were pretending that "they were laying out at the beach." Ahhhh, if that were only true. Can summer really be over?

Landon's Fourth Birthday Party

We celebrated Landon's 4th birthday on Sunday evening since Grammy and Papa Bruce were in.

Look, my card lights up!

Yes, this is pink wrapping paper... Mommy ran out of the other paper. Although, as you can see, Landon did not really care.

He is really into Star Wars. May the force be with you!

Loading the gun.... he has already been instructed not to hit sissy with the bullets..... we'll see how long that lasts!

Of course, Conner had to play with Landon's remote control 4 wheeler. Lucky for her, he was too busy loading his double barrell shotgun to notice.

Holiday World

Rhonda and her buddies let me tag along with them to Holiday World last week. Thanks guys! We met at Rhonda's house and Kenny chauffeured us all in the van.
In true Griswold fashion, we were there when the gates opened and went to ride the Voyage first. Patricia doesn't like roller coasters but we persuaded her to ride the Voyage. Needless to say, she could have killed us when she got off. Did I mention that Kenny has had open heart surgery??????

After we played at the water park for a while, we convinced Rhonda to ride the Voyage with us on the second run through. She wasn't too sure about riding it and as you can see here, not happy about being "forced" to ride it! I wish I would have gotten a picture of her after....can you say green! :)

Our two favorite water slides were the Zinga and the Bakuli (aka the toilet bowl). Charlene and Patricia took advantage of the wave pool and laid out all day.
After the water park, we watched the diving show. It was really good. Yes, I know how rough I look, give me a break, I've been in the water all day.

This guy was "Hot Stuff"

Can you imagine diving from this high?
Here's me and Gayle with the whole diving group. I have no idea what the diver on the right is doing. He messed up my picture! LOL!

Conner's First Day in Third Grade

My goodness, where does the time go? Conner is 9 and starting third grade. YIKES!!!! She is so excited to have Ms. Robin, because she was her daddy's favorite teacher. She is growing up so fast, I blink and I think she's grown a foot. Here she is cheesing before school. Notice the Joe Jonas bag. According to Conner he is "H - O - T."

Of course Landon had to get in the picture. Hard to believe he will be starting kindergarten next year. Look out South Edmonson the tornado is coming!

Conner and Kimberly before class.

The two partners in crime....Conner and Rachel posing!
They are sitting next to each other right now, but I doubt that will last very long!

It really does seem like yesterday Conner was in Mrs. Lesley's class crying for me not to leave, this year it was "...uh mom, you can go now..."

Awesome Helicoptor

Here's a picture of Landon from yesterday's Back to School Bash at the High School. When he heard the helicoptor was landing at the school, he was so excited. After they let him sit in the cockpit and in the back, I asked him what do you say? His response...."Awesome Helicoptor!"

July Return Camping Trip at Nolin Lake

We descended on Nolin Lake again in July. We had wonderful weather while we were there. Just one night of rain, which helped me to sleep even better (not like we weren't wore out after all the swimming and scrabble). By the way, I am the official Scrabble Champ of the week! Sorry Rhonda & Sue! The kids had a blast and weren't ready to leave when we packed up on Sunday.

This is Landon in his famous "boat" as he liked to call it. He would grab the ring and jump off the edge of the boat with it. If he said "....just one more time mama..." once, he said it a thousand times.

Here's Landon cheesing without his "boat." He jumped off the boat a couple of times without it, so he thought he was big.

We picked up a straggler... Kelsey, Johnny & Rhonda's niece joined us. She had never been camping or out on the lake before. She had a great time.

Conner sunning herself!

As always, the kids loved the tube.

Here's Hannah, Conner and Landon getting ready to take a nap in Mamaw & Papaw's camper after all the fun in the sun.

Needless to say when had a nice time and looking forward to going back. No broken bones, scraped knees, or too bad bruising so it was definitely a good trip!
